Ride from Arrowtown through river trails and alpine scenery to Gibbston’s wineries and breweries. Going Blue provides bikes, helmets, maps, locks, repair kits, and shuttle service. Choose a standard Trek Marlin 6 or upgrade to an e-bike, then finish at the cellar door of your choice.

“George was an amazing driver and such a nice guy. I was so thankful he brought an extra e bike which I should have ordered in advance. Saved me. The ride through the mountains and beside the amazing blue river was spectacular. While I am not a wine drinker per se, I so enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it!!”

4.Self-Guided Biking Wine Tour (full day) in the Marlborough Region.

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 206 reviews · from $43

Start with pickup from Blenheim or Renwick, then choose a standard bike, e-bike, tandem, or kids’ bike at The Vines Village. Andy, Roo, Matt, or another local staff member sets you up with route advice, safety gear, and a winery map. Spend about six and a half hours visiting cellar doors at your own pace.

“The biking company is great, pick up and drop off with Matt welcoming and reliable. Bicycles are well maintained and in good working order. Check with wineries ahead of time regarding their hours of operation and if reservations are needed or not. The bicycle company may not have the most updated information regarding this. You will be riding on the shoulder of somewhat busy roads as well as gravel paths that are mostly smooth.”
